As a holiday home we have a duty of care to ensure Gwelmor is not only spotlessly clean, but that any nasties lurking are removed to the best of our ability.
We have always taken great pride in cleaning our luxurious holiday home to a five-star standard and guests have often commented on its sparkling cleanliness.
During the unprecedented times that Covid-19 threw at us, we gave our cleaning processes, products and protocols a complete overhaul.
After we've just successfully achieved our second 'We're Good to Go' industry standard mark for 2021. We will also review our Quality in Tourism 'Clean, Safety and Legal' accreditation when it's due in September.
Here is a guide to the steps we've taken to help reassure future guests:
We pride ourselves on providing a 'home from home' experience and part of that has been in providing an extensive range of books, DVDs, games and magazines for visitors to enjoy. We still want to be able to offer this but the amount we leave out has been drastically reduced. They are rotated at each changeover for guests’ reassurance.
Unfortunately we can no longer leave our traditional, hot-out-the-oven Cornish cream teas as a welcome treat but there will always be a little something left as a welcome gift.
Supplies of tea, coffee, sugar are individually wrapped and the pint of milk we leave guests in the fridge is disinfected, as are the salt and pepper grinders.
We are now members of PASC UK Ltd (Professional Association of Self Caterers UK) and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all the advice, guidance and support they have provided throughout the pandemic.
Phew! I think that’s about it for now. We hope this givens you an insight into the work that is going on behind the scenes to enable Gwelmor to welcome back it’s wonderful guests safely, when we are able to do so.
