Best dog friendly house we have ever stayed in

Great house and so comfy, best dog friendly house we have ever stayed in, had everything we needed and more!! Fantastic location and we loved the beach so much and just a short drive to Bude. Beach House Fantastic meal on their Global Curry Night and walking distance and dog friendly so perfect. We will defo be back again.

Dogs are equally welcome (as opposed to tolerated)

This was our third visit to Gwelmor, and second trip this year!Everything was fantastic as always. Spotlessly clean; well equipped and super dog-friendly. To say that dogs are equally welcome (as opposed to ‘tolerated’) is an understatement.We know the ropes, and the places to go and explore but it was brilliant to be down in the autumn. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed being able to whizz around on the beaches, at any time of the day. And Gwelmor was warm and cosy to come home to.We had amazing weather, and sunsets too.Even braved the chill to join the sunrise surfers.It was brilliant.

Gwelmor itself is ideally situated for the beach and is amazingly quiet too

The weather has been mixed but that hasn't stopped us enjoying our holiday. The property is well equipped and very comfortable. We appreciate all the extras for both humans and dogs - thank you so much! Widemouth Bay cafe is lovely and we had a lovely roast dinner at Black Rock cafe on Tuesday - excellent value at £12.50 for two courses! We had several visits to Bude and had a tasty lunch at the Brendon Arms - very dog and toddler friendly. We aso spotted Malcolm (the Mandarin duck) on the canal which delighted our grandson. Gwelmor itself is ideally situated for the beach and is amazingly quiet too with excellent view of the starry sky on cloud free nights. We loved everything about the bungalow - decor, comfort, fully enclosed garden etc etc etc!

It's a real home from home

Despite the weather (rain most days) we have enjoyed our stay here. It's a real home from home. Love all the paintings and especially the shoal of fish in the main living area. Hope to be back in the future. Thank you for sharing with us. We can recommend The Bank restaurant, Petherick's Mill. Lively and very tasty food.

Always stunningly beautiful and clean

Return visitors from 2019 and another wonderful experience in your beautiful home. We love widemouth Bay and have enjoyed walking to the beach and enjoying the beautiful views. Your place is always stunningly beautiful and clean and we love all of its little quirks/extras.

Wish it could have been longer

A truly wonderful 10 nights here

We had a truly wonderful 10 nights here - thank you! The house had everything we needed as a family with three young children and we loved how easy it was to walk down to the beach every day. I hope we have the opportunity to come back one day.

The enclosed garden was great

Had a lovely week at Gwelmor. The house is lovely and has everything you could possibly need. The enclosed garden was great and we didn't need to worry about Hector getting out. Had some really nice pub food and takeaways too. Thank you for the goodies, Hector enjoyed your letter and the biscuits.

Didn't disappoint, again!

Our second visit to Gwelmor and it didn’t disappoint, again! It's so lovely to be able to stay in a really comfy, clean, luxury place, but one that is still very dog friendly. Great facilities. Fantastic location too - where else can you get peace and quiet but be only five minutes from a Cornish beach! Our two Jacks loved their morning bundles on the beach before breakfast. See you again soon….

So quiet

Lovely stay & fantastic weather. So quiet compared with home (on Heathrow flightpath). House very comfy & has everything you need. Twiggy loved the beach & really loved the dog biscuits. Thanks

Garden very secure for our two dogs

We have really enjoyed our stay in this lovely holiday home. Gwelmor has everything you need and it is very comfy and cosy. The welcome biscuits went down well and all the doggy extras were really welcome and very useful. The property is lovely and quiet and the garden very secure for our two dogs.

Definitely one of the best self-catering places we've stayed in over many years

Great place to stay with dogs, even when it was tipping down with rain. There were good walks to be had away from the beach, the river at Boscastle because a favourite and the Bude Canal has a made up path so not too muddy. Gwelmor was well stocked with dog towels, etc (my sister was amused to find a special paw-wash pot in the cupboard for her JRT). Our pointer would have been very happy simply running in the dunes all day!! We had everything we needed and more at Gwelmor, definitely one of the best self catering places we've stayed in over many years. Sorry the week is over

Another wonderful week at Gwelmor and the weather held up for us all week! We revisited old favourites and again managed to find something new for us. The Tamar Lakes and a superb meal at The Bank (very dog friendly) and great service. Marley had a great time on all the beach walks and visiting all the shops that give him a biscuit! We will be back, hopefully later in the year.
